    260 Rem - Lapua versus Remington Brass

    I bought .260 Lapua brass for the first time recently & the quality is noticeably better than other brands. I was going to debur the flash hole but wasnt required it was all clear, went to uniform the primer pocket & the same all uniformed. The bug advantage is it is all prepped & ready to go!

    260 brass - What to do?

    Either buy .243 Lapua & buy a expander mandrel from BRT or buy .308 & size it down. The later will probably need to go through a .7-08 die first & also my need to be neck turned? I did the later the other day as a test & seated a proj to make a dummy round & it chambered fine in my factory...

    Anyone ever get nervous pulling the trigger on your first ever re-loads?

    I think it only human to be a bit nervous. But if you have followed the powder manufacturer load date & done all the research in case prep etc then shouldn't be a problem. I must admit I think I did squint a bit on my first shot:o

    Did I over anneal my brass? help!

    3.8 seconds doesn't sound long enough IMO for the brass to get to the right temperature, unless you are using 2 torches. I practice on discarded brass from the range before I use my own.

    Question on making 260 brass and it's accuracy

    Hi leadbullet, so are you suggesting that with less case neck thickness due to the neck being stretched with a mandrel(??) the projectiles exits the case mouth easier?? If so wouldn't neck turning have the same effect?
