Cheytac Rifles --Inaccurate & the company does not support the rifle BE AWARE

I don't mean to say anything bad about OP. It sucks if this is what happened to him. But this is his first post and he opened an account to start this thread. He's been shooting for years and still he's a new member, started an account this month. A bolt and trigger that would not "operate", a...

Because the trend is toward pistol grip and not thumb hole.

    Proof Research or JP

Mega has their 6.5cm barrels coming out soon. I'm confused by your question. Do you want to save weight? Get the Proof. A sloppy fit does not make sense because the barrel extension is machined steel and not carbon. Is your Maten a hunting rifle? if not, how much does weight matter? Does...

Rifle Scopes Kahles Gen3 624i Review (Amazing Optic)

My understanding Is that the 624i a steel body? It would seem more durable than Aluminum scopes but a little bit more heavy. What's anyone's opinion or does it even matter? Sorry for the question but this will be my first scope in the $3K range, my most expensive scope currently in a Nightforce NSX.

MDT Tac21 Chasis and aftermarket actions

From My experience, In most case those actions will not fit. I have to say most because I have not seen all the Stiller ations. The Housing for the receiver on MDT is round and the fit is very, very tight. I had it on a SPS. So any of the octagon shaped (GAP) actions are no go. Also, any actions...

Anyone own a Remington 700 Tactical Chassis Rifle in .308 caliber?

I had the Chassis on a 700 SPS AAC before Remington made it a SKU. It's nice and well built. Nothing bad to say about it. For the chassis, if you price out a stock, scope rail and inletting, the chassis is a good value. I sold the rifle because I grew out of the "tactical" look. If that's the...

    Kinda threw together an SPR~ish

Nice, but you can do without the Magpul backup sights. I think you have them on backwards. I like SPR's, WOA and the Noveske rail. Good to see you got a deal. Looks like you're going to have so fun soon!

10.5" SS Noveske 300BLK build questions

Good starting point. Noveske came out with their 300blk barrels very early. I have the first version of their 8.2" and also a later version. That said, they have so much experience, just about any carbine spring/buffer combo will work. I've run my pistols with a DPMS carbine spring/buffer, but...

    Remington 700 Stock Question.

I believe the stock that comes on the 5R is a HS stock. And the 5R stock is very nice. Compaired to the SPS stock, it's like driving a Civic and the getting into a 3 series. I changed it out. Here's mine.. It's sold, but you'll get an idea od what is will look like.

First Build, 22" 6.5 Creedmoor. Thoughts?

I'm Happy with that. Looks like the bullet will stay supersonic a little past 1300yd. 2700fps was always my goal.

First Build, 22" 6.5 Creedmoor. Thoughts?

Planning on a 22" 6.5 Creedmoor with a Heavy Varmint contour and JEC Brake. I'm not familiar with the 6.5 but I noticed that most rifles are 24'" or longer. Does the cartridge like a longer barrel? I'd like this rifle to reach out where my 308 can't (+800 yards). So by going 22", should I...
