ETA For a 375 cal round; a custom seating plug is required. Maybe Wilson would make the plug for you.
The person that chambered your barrel could use the reamer a second time to cut a chamber that will screw onto a 338 cal Wilson inline seater. Just give him the top side parts. Here is one...
I recommend looking for a Rohm 1606. It fit the TBAS perfectly and is the lowest profile 6-jaw I found. Also, I removed the set-tru plate when mounting it to the TBAS.
Cheers,
Oehler‘s System 89 BC Chrono will calculate BC. But, I don’t use it. The published BCs are close enough to start trueing the BC to my rifle.
The Lab Radar is consistent enough to expose variable BC issues. I captured the multi-range plots and the rogue shots were always out of the group...
A standard reamer is GTG for the CEB Lazers. Their sealing band jams up on the free bore. So, you can't jam them into the leads. Just measure the sealing band and compare it to the reamer print's free bore diameter.
Cheers,
This is true. But, The OP just wants to calibrate his external ballistics solution. So, this will work for calibration.
The real benefit would be to determine the consistency of a particular combination. Given good environmentals; the results would be useful for finding the best bullets...
I like nickel anti seize. A lifetime supply can be had for less than $10.

This is lowest cost 16C chuck I found

If you don’t have a way to gimble the chuck; your only gonna get the barrel bore close to the lathe bore center line. The spiders will allow you to match the bore...
I’m running a TBAS now. But I started with spiders. Danny’s rig is the way to go. I don’t have a mill. So, I turned custom barrel collar bushings for the front spider. Never had one slip.
The minimum twist isn’t listed for the 375s. But, the minimum twist for the 250gn 308 cal is 8.5.
so, I’m confident the 375s will be fine in my 7.5 twist.
I can’t wait. It’s gonna be Stella got her splash back!
Cheers
I think the answer is yes; if, your external ballistics solver uses BC. But, not because of rougher engraving.
The BC value assigned to a bullet is used to scale an ideal bullet model to match that particular bullet’s actual flight path. So, anything that can cause the bullet’s actual flight...
I think you’re asking about the second image showing just the neck and shoulders. The confusion is my fault. I didn’t mean to send the first image with the two cases and one round.
I wanted to post the neck and shoulders image to show the difference between just necking down and forming a...
I wondered if anyone would notice that line up...
