    6mm XC II sizing dies

They work fine. The sizing is slightly tougher than a regular sizing die, but not by any reasonable margin. If you want the smoother resizing feeling, I would advise you to move to a 6XC II die. Overall, the Redding Type S bushing dies in 6XC work just fine.

What's the most stupid thing you've been told?

I asked a gunstore clerk one day if they had heard anything about the 10/22 takedown being much less accurate than a traditional 10/22, or if they locked up well enough to be about as accurate. I was greeted with a blank stare and they answered with "Well, they call it the 10/22 takedown...

    Gunsmithing Chambering for Accuracy International

I measured a prefit barrel. Use 1.500" as your tenon length and cut threads to M27x2.0. Leave a healthy chamfer into your chamber to act as a feed ramp. Look at some pics to get an idea of what that should look like. I also made a collar to fit snug over the threads and measured my headspace...

    6mm XC II sizing dies

Excellent. Thanks for the help! I just wanted to make sure they were what everyone else was using with success before dropping $300 on dies.

    6mm XC II sizing dies

I'm looking for a set of FL bushing sizing dies and micrometer seater (optional...) for a new rifle i'm building with the 6XC II reamer. Will the standard Redding Type S dies work well with this? The case diameter is slightly larger on the XC II if I remember correctly, and I don't want to...

PRS Talk First PRS Practice recommendations

Good ideas on the magnification. Set that bad boy around 15 power unless you shooting one static target from one position (KYL Plate rack for example). My biggest improvements came from me getting off of my stomach and shooting from all kinds of different height barricades. Dry fire is super...

    Gunsmithing chamber tooling Question

No need for this. I carefully use scotchbrite pads and 600+ grit sandpaper on a dowel. No, I’m not a gunsmith, but I’ve chambered a few barrels and they all shoot very well.

    Gunsmithing 6.5x47 Lapua reamer help

I got the PTG reamer from grizzly. The reason I did is because it’s NOT CIP, and allows for a little extra clearance so I don’t have to neck turn new brass. I shoot 140 Hybrids, and 140 ELDs out of it and it loves both. I haven’t tried anything else unfortunately. A friend of mine used the...

How are you using your RCBS Chargemaster

I used to do what some of the guys above did. I could seat the bullet when he chargemaster was bulk throwing powder at its top speed and it wouldn’t over throw or under throw. If I seat the bullet when t was trickling, I could sometimes make it work if the bullets would seat super smooth...

    How True is True??

Check to make sure that your zero range is pretty close to 100 yards. I’ve done some boneheaded stuff before like zeroing at 60 yards and I could hit within a tenth out to about 400. Then it would slowly fall apart. At 1000 I was a full mil or more off. I’ve also had issues with Bore...
