    Cold bore way off consistently

    The best rifles should not have a cold bore shift. If there is a repeatable cold bore shift, there is a problem that needs to be addressed. Have you shot the gun without the suppressor to see if the problem persists? That would be about the only thing I would suggest prior to sending it back...

    My 3-12x Nitro broke recently. Was atop a 5.56 rifle for its entire life of a few months. The objective lens rubber gasket started separating from the edges and the reticle was shifting in the FOV from recoil. The reticle was still zero’d though. Bummer.

    My reservations on the 168 SMK is not about long range accuracy, rather lack of effective terminal ballistics compared to purpose built duty rounds. SMKs can over penetrate a lot through (Ruby Ridge was a perfect example of that). Over penetration is a bad thing for LE.

    I think the upper receiver’s rigidity and how the handguard mates to the upper has more to do with the flexing and offset from pressure put on the handguard.
