8.6 blackout 8.5” barrel gas port size
Had a customer bring in a Ruger SFAR with an 8.6 blackout barrel. He wants it chopped to 8.5”, threaded, and recontoured for a pistol length gas system. Does anyone have an idea of roughly where to start for gas port size on a barrel like this?- flyfisherman246

I have a Luna that has been “modified”. I’m pretty happy with how bright it is for long range illumination when used with a pvs27. My problem with it is how fragile they are. Gunsmithing Rem 700 extractor install and ejector modification (.223 bolt face)
Ive done M16 extractor installs before on 700's with standard and magnum bolt faces. The process goes: take a standard bolt face factory 700 bolt, open it up, solder a nose ring, face the new nose, bore the bolt to a .223 bolt face, then cut the extractor groove. Batteries left in NV devices
Everyone has heard and repeats to always remove batteries from NV devices due to possible corrosion. This makes since, Ive had that happen with AAA's in a head lamp.
