    I believe lrf’s with 1250nm or greater are not regulated because that nm wavelength is eye safe regardless of power. It’s the mw rating of the laser diode pointer/illuminator that has a FDA regulation.

    Put both on low power against dark background, then make a decision. Not many mk5’s have illumination and you’llknow why that’s important for this style optic
