The guy that said you ruined it needs his eyes checked! It looks great! It's amazing how different finishes reveal the beauty in a stock. This is an old 870 stock I refinished a while ago. A lot of nice grain hiding under a lousy factory finish.- dzeke

NEW From Zermatt Arms - RimX Actions
It's funny, as others have stated, that's one of reasons I went with a RimX, basically zero waiting. Found an in stock action, got a barrel from Manzella in like 3 weeks, torqued the barrel on and the thing shoots! Zermatt makes a sweet action. Aero precision shipping times

Is there a gray area between a SBR & a Pistol or is the definition cut & dried?
Check your state regulations. Everything already discussed aside, Colorado for example says no "stocks or attachments" on handguns in the big game regs. An AR pistol is fine provided it's a bare buffer tube. At least that's how I interpret it.- dzeke

Why do you like rimfire?
It's accessible. Sure it's bit of a gateway drug, I started with a T1x with a Diamondback Tactical, now I have a RimX with a Mk4HD. But I've taken one nephew, and several friends, to rimfire matches. Custom Action - tikka footprint
The Ultimatum Defacto was a Tikka footprint. That was a bit of a disaster, not the action just the company/owners at the time. I have one in 223, I enjoy the rifle, but it doesn't do anything better than any other action, or better than a Tikka for that matter.- dzeke
