I am, I just don't see a benefit for me. Rifle shoots 3/4 moa to 1 moa 10 round groups, so I just live my life and don't worry about cleaning. I don't know enough to guess which magic solution to run through X times per X rounds for X caliber, so I just have always skipped it and it seems just...
First try at reloading, all seems to have gone well!
Tikka .223 with a 20" Proof CF Prefit
New Norma Brass

75gr ELD-M
Avg Velocity was 2740.8 FPS

Primers looked great at this charge, at 26.0 they flattened out.
Definitely don't update to 3.30. There is for sure an issue. Just got back from the range and it missed about 30% of all shots from my .223's. I also had my 22lr with me and it picked up every one of those without issue. This thing missed about 5 shots total in its lifetime, but today alone...
I put one together for my dad, this is the T1X hunter factory walnut stock. I think it looks really nice and he is very happy with it as well. I would agree with @Nethero though, I'm not sure the wood is walnut, but rather the stain color is walnut.
I have mine set up as a switch barrel, using a husky strap wrench and a spare bolt I go from 6.5 creed to a 7PRC while at the range. It’s very repeatable, but after some time, I’m gathering parts to just have a second matching rifle.
Here's a better question, why do you care that he doesn't like your opinion. Who gives two fucks about the value of the action? It's his action, politely fuck off.
There will be no real difference between the two. 7 baffles in the scythe vs 8 baffles in the Jolene, clipping will be the same or similar so overall they are as similar as two could be built, but the Jolene is $350 less, so for me it was an easy choice.
Just added a Jolene S a few weeks ago and took it out on one range trip thus far. I love how light it is and the price is great. Anymore, the titanium standard cans should be priced closer to the Jolene S. The Scythe is essentially the same suppressor for twice the money. Both are standard...
Any of the new Tikkas are really easy to get broken down. Barrels must not be nearly as tight as older ones where people have these issues. I've pulled 6 now and never had to use a mallet on the external action wrench more than twice.
Friendly reminder that the OP hasn't even responded to this thread since it's inception....but hey let's argue more!
Now that we've established that, I went Tikka for my hunting rifle for one reason and that was bottom metal and reliable feeding while crossing over between magnum and standard...
This is my hunting Tikka, I actually own four Tikkas in total so I can swap bolts around when needed. To me the advantage to the Tikka is the footprint staying the same when swapping calibers. I leave the magnum bolt stop in two and a SA bolt stop in my 223. I just spin a 22" 7PRC proof...
I buy proof simply for ease of getting in stock barrels that’s can be shipped out quickly. You can get discount codes often and get carbon barrels for around $750-$800. Also installing them in my own shop with minimal tools makes it easy. My three proof barrels are awesome shooters and were...
I've had my T1X for a year or so now and finally decided to try some better ammo in it and SK Standard+ was really the ticket. I had only been shooting CCI SV with pretty decent results. I just got my new HuxWurx Flow 22 Ti so figured I'd test it with some good ammo. I plan to do some testing...
