Battle Arms Development barrels and customer service – Caveat Emptor

Sorry I saw this thread so late. Anyone who comes across it and wants to know more about this company’s practices, barrels, or anything like that, feel free to PM me. I’ll give you some inside baseball that describes perfectly why I won’t even buy another company’s firearm if it features a...

    6.5 Creedmoor Load Dev RL26, 147gr ELD-M

First off, sorry if I get too detailed into what I did today. I was not sure how I wanted to go about load development for 6.5 Creedmoor, but I had done some reading and had a few ideas based on what other people had tried, so I thought that I would...

    The "New" Barrett MRAD Thread!!!!!!

Thanks guys, appreciate your opinions. Yeah, the idea of a 17" barrel was REALLY uncomfortable to me considering I used to run 308 at 26", currently run 6.5CM at 26", and was planning on running 338LM at 30". I was crunching some data on JBM and I was a bit surprised to see that even if I run...

    The "New" Barrett MRAD Thread!!!!!!

Thanks for the tip. I am all over that 26" 338LM as soon as I sell my Surgeon. Would be interested in people's opinions on which conversion kit they would add to it and why. Currently I am shooting 6.5 Creedmoor from the Surgeon, however, it occurred to me that the 6.5 really benefits from...

Is a tikka action Long/strong enough for 338 lapua

I had the T3X Tac A1 in 308 and loved that rifle. I have been waiting to see Tikka release a 338LM version, but I have not seen or heard anything that indicates it it a possibility unfortunately.

    The "New" Barrett MRAD Thread!!!!!!

Ok, this thread is killing me. I am pretty sure the MRAD is for me. I love my Surgeon 6.5 Creedmoor and was about to build another in .338 Lapua, but now I am thinking I might just sell mine and go with a compact 17" 308 and a 26" .338LM conversion kit. I got to handle the MRAD at a local store...

    6.5 Creedmoor Load Dev RL26, 147gr ELD-M

I am .039 off the lands. I don't have the OAL written down because I always measure to the ogive, which is 2.210. I will be in the shop tomorrow and can measure that OAL for you.

    6.5 Creedmoor Load Dev RL26, 147gr ELD-M

I had forgotten about this thread so thank you for reminding me. Definitely needs an update because there was an issue with the original data. I actually made a few mistakes with the chronograph when doing the original tests. I am on a Lab Radar and now I have it all worked out. I don't have...

    6.5 Creedmoor Load Dev RL26, 147gr ELD-M

Reid's article was very helpful. Thank you for that. I think it is a very simple solution to write the load on the brass. I am definitely doing that from now on. Funny you were mentioning the dynamic range of the jpeg. I am a professional photographer so that makes perfect sense to me. It even...

    6.5 Creedmoor Load Dev RL26, 147gr ELD-M

That was a great read. Thanks for linking it. Wealth of knowledge there. I have to say he did scare me a bit, but it is a good thing. Makes me want to try 47 grains again. I know that brings me down to 2810fps, but looking at a ballistics table, the performance is still very good. I think I am...

    6.5 Creedmoor Load Dev RL26, 147gr ELD-M

Not a dick at all man. That is really helpful. I do not have a lot of experience with load development like this. I have always been pretty close based on recommendations from others from a pretty vast knowledge base of .308 formulas. So I know what to look for based on things that I have read...

    6.5 Creedmoor Load Dev RL26, 147gr ELD-M

Thanks. I am not sure how much this helps. While in the ammo case, the empty cases fell out of their holders so when I put them back they were all out of place. Originally I had the loads in rows of 10 with the tier charges on the hinge side of the box. Now they are all mixed up.

I was not sure how I wanted to go about load development for 6.5 Creedmoor, but I had done some reading and had a few ideas based on what other people had tried, so I thought that I would pay it forward by providing my details as best...
