    FWIW.... The 16" Aimsurplus is selling... sure looks like a Faxon made barrel to me. Still a great price. Even the Faxon specs are similar. 416R, 5R... Different barrel profile, ( etc ) but.... Here is the 16" on sale.... $79.99...

    What brand is your lapping tool ? I memory serves me... the Brownell's lapping tool fit my BCM uppers.... The PTG's would not fit the BCM's That said... All my SOLGW stripped uppers are thermal fit... however they are all a few years old production. The SOLGW uppers all have a snugger fit on...

    If you cut it down are you going to have the "bell / bludge / flare" on the end of the gas tube ? Frankly your gas tubes end kinda looks fubar'd from your pic

    First post here, but question regarding m855 ammo

    You might get lucky, and all of the various brands hold to the same POI.... otherwise, that is why you sights are adjustable. That said, and as others have mentioned... M855 is not known for being very accurate.

    Good news is .. it appears your gas port alignment looks GTG. Bad news is... it "appears" your barrels gas port might be to small. I would get a better way to measure your gas ports actual size prior to making your next move...

    AR9 trigger help.

    Make sure your bolts FP isn't "stuck" from gunk or a pierced primer disc. Some triggers don't "work" with every 9MM PCC bolt... on the underside of the bolt, the ramp for the trigger uses for "cocking" can be to short of an angle ( or to long ) or the ramp isn't "tall" enough to reset triggers...
