Can a Savage be made into a competent tactical gun?

I've been shooting a Savage stagger feed, pre accutrigger for the last 12 years or so. Few hundred rounds a year for the first couple of years. Ramping up over time, several thousand a year for the last couple of years. I would estimate 7-8k rounds over the years. At least 80% of those shots...

NEW from XLR Industries **ELEMENT CHASSIS**

Thanks again Kyle. It's all coming together nicely. This is a placeholder scope, going to switch over my 56mm NXS after I shoot one more match this weekend with my old Savage.

As 2014 Approaches does this need to be addressed ?

Paul, Just because an organization calls itself the "Professional" series doesn't mean they are the best. There are plenty of "Pro" level guys that don't want to screw around with the PRS. The TRL concept isn't to create farm teams for the PRS. In fact, since the approach is more inclusive...

As 2014 Approaches does this need to be addressed ?

LL, good stuff. I like where this is heading and the collaboration. When I want to compare the difficulty of one match to the next, I look at the % of total points the winner got. Makes it easy to translate between point systems. Not sure yet how I would incorporate that into a COF rating...

Thanks for another great match Kevin, Anton and ROs. Weather(fog) was a huge factor for sure. We can't take these scores/rankings too seriously....

    MDT's New Chassis Offering, LSS

Thanks Ancel. 2-3" longer and it would be a done deal. Maybe MDT will make a XL version.

    MDT's New Chassis Offering, LSS

Mark, or someone with a LSS on hand, could you measure from the recoil lug to the end of the forend? Ancel, I would have pre-ordered one of these, if the forend looked like it was going to be long enough. Unfortunately, I feel no draw towards the tac21.

Suppressors Anyone with experience on the Socom762-RC yet?

Really happy with my 762RC. On both a 26" .260 and 24" 300wm I'm seeing a 1.5moa vertical shift down. No horizontal shift that I have seen. Not run anything over a chrono yet. Have shot a few rounds through a .308 on the old K mount brake. Locked up tight, no rotation even without...

AW or AICS Mag for a Savage 4.40 double stack action

I had CDI mill the bottom of my stagger feed savage to accept the AW mags. Very reliable setup for several years now.

Suppressors Anyone on here a dealer for surefire?

I too am looking for a SFMB-762-5/8-24 Muzzle Brake. I had no idea these were going to be so hard to get when I bought my can in November. At this rate, my forms will be approved and I won't be able to shoot the thing...
