    I have a fixed AXMC. You raise the cheek piece as high as it goes and the bolt slides under it to be removed. Nothing to worry about. I also have the 308 conversation kit and it works flawlessly.

    I have the VIR-II it's a great all in one unit. I'm so happy with it I'm saving up for another one. The only downside is the IR illum is only for closer range stuff and the IR laser and IR illum operate together.

    Area 419 pic rail for CZ 455 or is there another?

    Na, you don't need to drill and tap the receiver. There's six grub screws that push against the receiver when the rail is slid over the dovetail. Much like the DIP rail but a lot more solid and tighter fitting. If I need any more CZ rails in the future I might try the Area 419 out, it looks...

    The 419 rail looks like a great option. I have a Murphy Precision 40MOA 455 rail and can't fault it, you can also get standard (0, 10, 20MOA) rails too. I have a DIP rail, while not too bad for the low cost, it's no where near the quality of the Murphy.

    Thanks for that. I might look a bit more into it. I once had a NF NXS 2.5-10x32 which would have been great for it. Any scopes you’d recommend at around the $400-$600 budget. I’m using a SWFA 3-9 ffp atm and have Mark 4 3.5-10x40 sfp I could use.

I’ve probably shot over a hundred animals with my current NV setup (rabbits, foxes, pigs) and never felt the scope reticle was hard to see.
