    I’m glad I found this thread. I’ve got a factory aero M5 that shoots pretty decently. The problem I have is that it will throw fliers fairly frequently that will open groups from 1”-1.25” to 1.5”-2.5”. I’ve been wondering if something like a criterion might be better?

    im still pretty new to magnums and tripods, but on my wsm i switched to a bag on top of the tripod instead of being clipped in on the arca rail. It seems to take all the vibration out of my sight picture, and allows the rifle to recoil straight back on the bag independently of the tripod.

    I think they make .223 sized calibers in the mini chassis. The .308 short action still works with the Bravo. I had one in 6.5cm. For under $1000 it was pretty decent.

    Howa 1500 Barreled Action Build

    I got out last weekend and was able to shoot my howa/bravo setup. I got on paper at 50 yards, then went straight back to 200. It got really windy after that. I'd guess the gusts were 35-40mph from right to left. I tried 3 rounds of 120gr, and 5 rounds of 143gr (both Hornady eld factory loads)...

    Looking for shooting bags, help please.

    I've got a Harris 6-9, and sometimes i shoot off a pack. I guess I'm looking for a little bit more of a controlled, stable, rest for shooting groups while working up loads. I've never been very consistent off the bipod.
