    I think the one downside to this is that some suppressor companies like Surefire, make 1/2-28 muzzle devices that only work with 556 cans. With their system, a 556 suppressor physically will not mount to a 5/8-24 muzzle device.

    How Much Barrel (weight) Can AR15 Receiver Handle?

    This barrel weighed 8.2 lbs. basically a 1.2” straight contour that’s 27” long. This is how well it shoots.

    No, I did actually want people’s feedback. I personally don’t care about who made a blank so long as it shoots, so I’m genuinely interested to understand the perception that big name banks and $$$ equates to in people’s minds. It doesn’t make sense to me that someone would pay 4x the price...

    The reports I’ve seen have had quite good accuracy. To my surprise, when I weighed a piston barrel and bcg, they are actually lighter by a few oz over a standard weight barrel and bcg.

    Short 6arc is definitely cool, but I don’t know this I’d want to shoot this 12” gun without the can.

    Thanks for the report. I just put a 20” barrel in mine the other day for a long range match. I was pretty surprised the velocity I was getting with the 20” was only 90 fps faster than my 14.5” mrgg-a barrel.
