    I have a Pular scanner and it has the option to be "real time" scanning. So filling a coyote can give you instant feedback for distance.

    I have a scanner with the LRF in it. Seems you spend more time on the scanner than the scope so it served like the way to go. Everyone's situation is different.

    The image quality is better. The display is HUGE on the Bolt. I'm in California so a traditional rifle scope package type thermal works better on a bolt gun. Again...everyone has their own opinion on equipment. I was not happy with the Steiner.

    I got a 640 pulsar handheld with rangefinder for scanning and a iRay Bolt TH50 for the rifle. The rifle scope is much more useful for me than the S35 was. YMMV
