    I have scope with nuclear illumination like the NX8 1-8. More important to me is one that will go LOW enough. Many are too bright on the lowest setting, and wash out the target in low light.

    16-18 inch shorty rifles

    My old go-to was wearing a 28” 6 Creed barrel. It was a little much for hunting, so I spun up a 16.5” .308 with a Krieger blank I had on hand. It’s still ridiculously heavy, I’ll have to lighten it some when season goes out.

    @DHDeal Seekins and other BAR handguards fit directly on the Aero enhanced uppers. You don’t have to use Aero’s handguards. I have even built a couple with the Sgt of Arms handguards with built in Arca rails. I used to build rifles as a side job, and used Aero parts for a majority of the ARs...

    Most of what I deal with has a DBM, but it appears that the mag box is the same part, but the follower is different. The stock and mag box should work but you might need a new follower.

    Another weapon light thread… this time with a twist

    I have one of these as well as a couple other lights. I think mine is an older model with a much lower lumen output, but it has the best throw, a tighter beam so it’s better at longer range than some of my brighter lights. Not sure if that’s what the OP is looking for.
