    I had a similar experience with two 20" POF rifles they just didn't shoot consistently. My 716i handles and runs a lot better although groups are mediocre, 2-3MOA, 1.5MOA with handloads. Primary Arms had some larue 308s for 2500 not too long ago they were old style OBRs, probably fluted...

    I highly suggest buying something like an LMT, Seekins, maybe a Larue if you find a used one that's a proven shooter Building isn't hard but you're beholden to parts availability and oftentimes you simply cannot find the stuff you want w/o waiting for months on a backorder

    I use tac 24gr with 69-77 at 2.250" and 24.5gr with 50-55gr bullets it's pretty accurate, sometimes freakishly accurate 3shots into the same hole varmint type groups

    N140 is good stuff for 77smk try 23-24gr and 2.250" no reason not to use it TAC is my favorite for price/easy to find/easy to get it in the case since it's ball powder but it's not as accurate as varget
