Anyone got a link to the Area 419 tripod mount adapter? I can't find it. My RRS adapter fell apart after a weekend of shooting and RO'ing NRL hunter. Literally took the stage down at the end of sunday, took the binoculars off of the arc30 head, and the bottom half of the vectronix adapter...
There is the chicken dance that you do when the chicken shows up in the vectronix, and then there is the chicken dance you do connecting to a kestrel from LRF binos at an NRL hunter match before the stage starts. Kestrels BLE stack is third world compared to sig and garmin.
If someone wanted to develop for this protocol, is it something that can be accessed, or does it have to be licensed?
There are a few protocols in play... Some are easy to reverse engineer, as last time (6 years ago) I asked the kestrel folks were, to put it mildly, uncooperative. But it would...
I owned DT as my first bolt gun. Eventually I got tired of things that didn't work and sold it. It was an easy switch barrel, but not really great at anything. Add in firing pins falling in the dirt because of half ass bushing 'fixes', a trigger that sometimes went click and didn't go bang...
With the later firmware (180?) I now get DOF to my Garmin Tactix7 ; Enter the true wind speed and compass direction before the stage, and now, as you range targets across the array, the DOF is used to calculate the cross wind component and adjust the wind holds.
As far as I know this isn't...
For sale: Steiner Laser rangefinding binoculars, used but in good shape. I think I bought these in 2018 or 2019, etched reticle and 8x porroprism light path. Super easy to acquire targets with these.
Glass is clean and pretty and electronics work spot on. I bought higher mag binos and don't...
Nope. I had an issue where any time the rangefinder sent a range into the watch, the watch would reboot. Happened with multiple rangefinders. I sent videos, etc. No dice. After a few weeks they offered a warranty replacement.
I got the replacement. Loaded my profiles in. Same thing...
I was going to do the dimpling while I'm exposing aluminum and doing cerakote anyway. Black Canyon is my go to smith for everything so that works out well!
I'm waiting on my AT-XC, and thinking about immediatly having the foreend dimpled for R-LOCK plates and then cut down before more ceracoat. For those of you who cut down the forend, how much did you cut off? I can't see wanting it much longer than I can reach from behind the gun for adjusting...
Actually, SIG Gen1 does put the DOF in their bluetooth stream. I have used it in DIY phone apps. I don't know why GarminAB and Kestrel AB won't take it, but kestrel will with the Leicas, but it's kinda a hodge podge of versions of AB and kinda getting tired of this garbage. I have paid for...
Tactix 7, any idea how to get the sig or vectronix LRF's to feed the direction of fire to the tactix? I see the data in the stream, so I know it's a garmin issue. kestrel takes it correctly.
