    It all sounds very familiar. There are parts of the barrel that looks even worse than in the pictures I posted. 8.6 Blackout with a 6.5 twist is kind of just a 338 whisper with a lite bitt bigger case volum. I'm probably ending up going the same route as you in the end since i already have 8.6...

    I managed to recover a bullet shoot from the barrel where the pictures was taken. It shows signs of what you describes. It has also lost some weigh which probably is shaved off by the lands?
