    "EddieG1979" aka Tactical Rifles Shooter

Man that guy can shoot. I got to shoot a custom benchrest rifle built for 600yrd competition and I could not drive it that well and I was shooting off of a front rest and rear bag. Here is the rifle I got to try just wish my 3.5" 600yard group was as good as Eddie's 500yard one but maybe it...

GunsAmerica supports TR law suit against the Hide

Easy now, just wanting to make sure before I expose this person for being a liar. I was hoping that someone from SH would not post comments like that but one must always make sure. Veer_g, I hope you did not take me asking as an attack, but this is the two comments that were made in reference...

GunsAmerica supports TR law suit against the Hide

So that was not you that said "Snipershide is full of internet snipers, and google commandos. I think most are fat guys wearing turbans in their mom’s basement. I challenge anyone on the hide to a shoot off with my TR built cheeto cannon." and then told me "Wesley I am on snipershide. I will be...

    M40a1 modifications

If you want to stay with a short action, why not chamber it for the 300WSM. It seems that many are favoring it in F-Class open and 1000 yrd benchrest. Fastest 6mm

It gets costly when you do not do with work. I use only Krieger or Shilen Select match and a local well known and a not so cheap local gunsmith (one of his more famous rifles 600-Yard World Record Light Gun ). But you get what you pay for in the end. Longest kill is so far is 683.5 yards on a...

    Fastest 6mm

Sorry so late responding, been on a 5 day hike/camping trip. I get around 1,000 to 1250 rounds before accuracy starts dropping off. 1 barrel usually last one prairie dog (try to get in 3 trips a year) / ground hog season and may make it till the end of gun season for whitetails.

    Fastest 6mm

Been happy with my 243 catbird. It is a 270 Winchester blown out and necked down. I get about 4000fps to 4100fps with 70 grain bullets. One thing you need to know about the fast 6mms, is to stock up on barrels if you plan on shooting it much. I am one my fourth barrel, but I love the round.

    cooper actions

I would say price versus options. There are to many quality actions out there to buy a $2000.00 dollar rifle for just the action. Plus the aftermarket is not as big for them as Rem clones too. I have one and love it but outside of replacing the barrel, I would not use it since I can get a custom...

SAC: Floating Bolt Head Remington 700 prototype

You can still get a Stiller action with this conversion. Just buy one of the new Shilen actions since they have this and are made by Stiller.

Action Comparison (Stiller, Surgeon, Defiance, etc...)?

Nothing wrong with your decision. I figure if their actions are good enough for the Navy, then they will meet my needs. I have had a few Stiller actions (from the Viper to a Myers rimfire action) and have never found myself wanting something better.

    anyone using a aluminum action?

I agree with not needing a recoil lug for the 6br, however by having the integrated recoil lug, it give the shooter the ability to go up in caliber without having to worry in the future about recoil on the action. Plus with the OP looking at the Kodiak (which has the integrated lug), I was...

    anyone using a aluminum action?

I do not post on here much, but visit the site everyday. With Aluminum actions, one must remember that they are not fully Aluminum but have steel inserts for the threads and locking lugs. Also when looking at them I would look for the F-Class, Big Bore, or the Kodiak since all have a built in...
