    Just because EC can shoot and read conditions doesn't mean he knows more about shooting than everybody else. It means he's a amazing shooter. He should have called out the snake oil of that barrel. I'm not weighing in on the tuner stuff. I don't believe they work but I can't prove either way.

    I've been in this boat and worked up from a rem 700 to a FN SPR to a Impact build. Get a Solus(accepts prefits and takes rem 700 triggers and chassis). It will save thousands in the long run. You can through a prefit on it later, they come with a acceptable chassis and every part in the world...

    Drift out pin. Put spring in correct. Drive pin back in. If anything is wonky call Tate and take pics. They sell actions. They know that most people will take things apart as a necessity of assembling a rifle.

    The reason short and fat doesn't dominate is rules and velocity needs. F-class, palma, service rifle and silhouette all either have weight rules, appearance rules or need the velocity.

    20” 6.5 PRC vs 24” 6.5 CM

    Which is still faster than the 6.5 creed load from hornaday, which was my point. The incorrect thinking is the 50 fps per inch that everybody seems to be going off of to assume a 20" PRC will be slower than a 24" Creed. Also to be noted that I never recommended the 20" PRC.

    The advantage of the PRC will most likely, baring super slow barrel vs super fast barrel, not be eliminated by a 4" shorter barrel than a creed.     You would still push more powder through a creed to reach the same velocity as a gt. Reloading gt is cheaper than reloading my 308. Are you talking factory ammo prices for 6gt are higher?

    You would know better than me Geno. I just go by numbers and what works. I'm all for experimentation and pushing the envelope. Seems like the next big trend is 25 creed. If one wanted to try a fast 22 I would try a 22gt. With in 100fps of creed with 85.5 s and 9 grains less powder.

    To short of barrel life. Misses make almost zero splash. Most PRS shooters have stepped away from 6 creed for 6 dasher and 6 gt that's the marked trend. Slightly slower rounds that you can watch trace on and spot misses with. BTW I don't shoot PRS. I'm just going by what the winners are doing...
