How do you pronounce DE OPPRESSO LIBER? ANY SF NCO's out there?

Thanks all. Hey Rick. I completely understand the your comments. When Aviation became a branch in the early 80's they tried to out Infantry the infantry. Drove us nuts with all that crap except of course the mandatory "Garry Owen". We just wanted to fly. 7th Cav Gunny Sergeant. Flew All the...

Any Army SF folks out there that served in a group. I'm a retired 30 year Army LTC Aviator who on occasion got to work with 5th Group in Germany back in the late 80's some in Desert Storm and some in OIF. Recently I was chatting about the Army SF guys I new with a friend and the topic came...

    Best Magnum Primers

Re: Best Magnum Primers In Stock! No Crap! The whole reloading world has been turned on it's head by our King. I already use Federal for my normal primers and match ammo, but have not tried them in Magnum because I happened to find a bunch of Win on sale, probably because they had been on the...

    Alliant AR-Comp in 260 Rem

Has anyone tried the new Alliant AR-Comp. I ran some through my .223 just fine and am waiting for my .308 upper to come back with a new barrel. The issue is Alliant has only published a small amount of loading date for this powder and it's only for .223 and .308 which is understandable. However...

Dialing in my Savage BA 110 338 Lapua

Re: Dialing in my Savage BA 110 338 Lapua Thanks eveyone. Made some serious progress today. Tried the 300 SMK's. I started at 89gr of H1000 at .030 of lands and got 2700 fps through a chrony. First group of 4 were two groups of two touching rounds 1.5 inches apart. Things got worse very fast...

Dialing in my Savage BA 110 338 Lapua

Re: Dialing in my Savage BA 110 338 Lapua cdnshot The first thing I did (as with all my rifles) was fire lap them with Tubbs bullets so I was hoping to not have to run 200+ of these $monsters$ through it. Maybe my luck ran out this time. I think I may try the 300SMK. I already have H1000...

Dialing in my Savage BA 110 338 Lapua

Re: Dialing in my Savage BA 110 338 Lapua Well 300 yards would not be problem with the ridiculously large scope I put on this thing. Finding a day I can prove it's the load and not the wind might be more challenging.

Dialing in my Savage BA 110 338 Lapua

I'm have a heck of a time finding finding an accuracy node. Used both RL-25 and H1000. 250gr SMK bullets. Pushing around 2900-3000 using both powers and seating depths ranging from .010 to .050 off lands .005 at a time. I just can't seem to find any combination that will do better that a 3-4...

AR-50 Bullet Seating and Bullet Jump Distance

Re: AR-50 Bullet Seating and Bullet Jump Distance Thanks Chad. I guess the only real difference is it's going to cost a lot more to find the sweetspot. Saving my pennys for powder, primers and bullets. Lots and lots of pennys! Mike.

AR-50 Bullet Seating and Bullet Jump Distance

Anyone out there loading for the AR-50 using Hornaday 750g A-Max. I built a home made modified case and max bullet seating depth tool and found out that the throat on the AR-50A1 is so long my bullet fell right out of the case with almost none of the flat of the bullet sides engaged in the flat...
