    AX 338MC length when folded

Hi Does anyone know the total length of the AX 338MC when it is folded with say a 20 or 26" barrel? Trying to figure out what case to get (ie 1740). Thanks

    Waiting on 2014 AX chassis?

Have one at the painters having it done in burnt bronze and a Spectre action on the shelf :)

    Atlas PSR

There's this attitude on here that if you're critical then you must be a sob that just went out onto the range for the first time and doesn't know what he's doing. Kind of ashame, as this leaves no room to improve products or the level of shooting. diverdon: I have more cups and plaques here...

    Atlas PSR

Why is the PSR even an option, at extra price to boot? It fixes a major flaw in the original design where the legs rotate making it nearly impossible to shoot from a hard surface. It's not like they are cheap to begin with.

Yeah, action and stock took some time. Luckily we have more shooting irons, but getting anxious to get this rifle finished.

    Practical Rifle project

Stiller delivered the Spectre action last month and I just got word the new 2014 AICS AX stock is on it's way to me. Barrels were already at my smith's, so we're good to go. Time to get accessorized and start getting ammo components.

Tactical Shooters Equipment - What the pros use...

Comparing a shit shooter with a non-308 to an excellent shooter with a 308 is apples and oranges. You're not competing against poor shooters in a competition (not if you're going for prizes anyway). So let's forget that argument. If you were to shoot both guns in the same match with the same...

Tactical Shooters Equipment - What the pros use...

Besides the awesome burn just handed out... Has 308220 ever shot both of those calibers to see what the difference is? Besides recoil, there's a noticable advantage vs the wind, not to mention elevation. Imagine that awesome 308 shooter now outfitted with the extra advantage of the 6/6.5...

Rifle Scopes TT, Tangent Theta Optics?

S&B 5-25 is €2500 here, the Premier 5-25 was €2800, the "new" TT is €3800. Tell me why it's €1300 better than the Schmidt? It's all fine and dandy that TT wants to compare itself to the new gen of S&B and Hensoldt, but they are offering 10yr old tech (5x mag) with the same optics as the old...

6.5 SAUM: Whats the big deal

A 6.5-284 puts the same 139-140 downrange at 3050-3100 and uses 54gr of powder to do so. Lifetime at competition level (F-Class) is between 1200-2200 rds depending on if you shoot string or alternating (non-US). A 6.5SAUM will not give more lifetime on the barrel as it uses more powder and gets...

    Rifle Scopes MOA

I don't see why everyone gets hung up on the smallest detail. You can pretty much poke a hole in everyone's stories on SH if you wanted. I don't get the claims that a $200 scope will not resolve a 20x20" target at 1700, that's complete horsepucky. 1700y isn't that far out to still be able to...

    Rifle Scopes MOA

You could almost headbutt it back ;) Not to piss on anyone's parade, but the 168 is pretty much a flying brick, you could not choose a less effective bullet in the HPBT family besides maybe the 135SMK. Compounded by the low muzzle velocity and most likely not enough elevation or hold-off to get...
