    .243 Winchester Range Report

    I have the varmint as well 26" barrel I thought the twist rate was 1-9.125, but could be wrong. Put it on a element chassis. My rifle loves 37.1 grains 4064 and 87g vmax. Good for yotes and Pdog at long ranges. Another awesome load I found is the 105g Berger VLD hunting, with 40.2 grains h4350...

    If you look at 2.800 and combine the 2 groups together without the possible 1 flyer you have a nice 5 shot group there. I would go with 2.800. I might refire 2.910 just to see if the oneholer was a fluke or not.

    I have a remington model 700 in a 300 wsm, that i am wanting to build a custom tatical rifle with. But i want to chamber it in a .260 remington. Should i just sell the rifle and find something with a 308 size bolt face, or is there another option out there for a differant size bolt face?

    Work up to this load. One of my all time favorite loads is 44.3 grain RL15 178g amax, or 175g smk Winchester brass gm210m primers Do not use military brass with this load case capacity is to low and you get high pressure in most guns.
