    Nx8 2.5-20 vs mk 5 3.6-18?

2.5 is easy with illum and the field of view it provides is what I was after for hunting scenarios. 3-4x is great until a target pops up at closer ranges and you need to follow. The 20x on top let's us reach out here in the west. 700+ meter shots in the Frank Church are not uncommon.

    Nx8 2.5-20 vs mk 5 3.6-18?

I have NX8s on many platforms. Size, weight, quality, resale value. May not have illum on the MK5 depending on model. "Long Action" Semi-Auto Rifles - What's the consensus?

I've had no issues with base, pocket primer or rim on my factory loads. If you hand roll them, and they are hot, you'll start to see the typical pressure signs associated with those cases regardless of what you're feeding them in.

"Long Action" Semi-Auto Rifles - What's the consensus?

You will see some dented case mouths from time to time but that very common in semi-autos.

"Long Action" Semi-Auto Rifles - What's the consensus?

I really like my NEMO Omen and it will join me on an elk hunt this fall/winter. It's doesn't join me on my typical backcountry hunts here in Idaho, where weight is the primary motivation. It's an oz is lbs issue when packing it in. It's still well under 16lbs configured, but I'm not humping it...
