What model is this Remington trigger

The one I had seemed to have a more "crisp" feel to it and it did adjust down lighter than my pro's. I don't know if it was just that particular trigger or if they all were that way. Like I said though, not anywhere close to a custom.

What model is this Remington trigger

Looks to me like the predecessor to the Xmark Pro, the Xmark. Adjustments are like the old style Remington triggers instead of the external adjustment on the pro. I think they were only made for a couple of years. I bought a 700 varmint that had one in it, not bad for a factory trigger and...

    SH recommended gunsmiths

Another vote for Jon Beanland! I've had 2 rifles built by Jon and the fit and finish are absolutely perfect and they are definitely shooters! On top of that Jon is a super nice guy with a wealth of knowledge and joy to visit with.

New to me, .264 win mag westerner, post your pet loads please

First powder I would try is Retumbo. I'm shooting a 120 gr Nosler BT over 71 gr of Retumbo for about 3370fps and 3/4" groups.

I've had two built by Jon Beanland and I just paid for the parts up front and then for the labor when they were finished.

    Beanland .243AI in a Mickey A3

Re: Beanland .243AI in a Mickey A3 Very nice looking rifle! Jon is an excellent gun builder, that's the reason I'm having him build my first custom, also his shop is only an hour from where I live so that is definitely a plus. My build is going to be a 22-250AI built on a rem 700, kreiger...

    Nosler Brass

Re: Nosler Brass I ordered nosler brass for a 6.5x284 and 264 win mag and was very pleased with the quality, very uniform and consistent. They are weight sorted but it is for each individual box, so two different boxes will probably be different in weight. All were trimmed to the proper...

    About to rebarrel my 700

Re: About to rebarrel my 700 It is really a random no. I found in the phone book, lol. No really,I know what your saying, but, when a person is as good and as nice as Jon is everyone needs to know about them. I can't wait until I get some days off and take some more parts to him. Only bad...

best low cost self install 700 trigger?

Re: best low cost self install 700 trigger? Shilen makes a great trigger also. I've been using them for about 15 yrs now and never had a problem with any of them. I recently ordered a Timney from the factory preset at 1.5lbs and it's a good upgrade from factory but I still like the Shilens...

    About to rebarrel my 700

Re: About to rebarrel my 700 You might check with Jon Beanland, Beanland Custom Rifles in Gould Okla. His work is second to none, very reasonable prices and shorter than normal wait times. Also one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. He let me watch as he threaded and chambered a barrel...
