I currently have no plans for shooting anything heavier than maybe 210 grn but you never know. Anyone every hear anything bad about Bell&Carlson stocks.
Doc76251 and Unknown, I hope I'm not coming across as arguing with you. Unfortunately I already have the barrel. At the time I was going with what German said - "Twist Rate - The standard rate of twist for factory and arsenal barrels chambered in .30-06 is 1:10". This was established in 1903...
I appreciate any and all suggestions, I went with the 1-11 twist as suggested by German Salazar. I'll def think about keeping it at 24" but was looking at 26" also from GS's suggestion. The original plan was to stay with the standard cartridge so thanks for the heads up on performance gain vs...

Hey guys,
I'm still waiting on my scope from SWFA(not their fault-backordered), but I went ahead and got my scope base and rings. I went with Weaver 20moa base and medium height rings. Anyway I mounted the base to my Remington 700 action. When I snugged down the front, I was able to get a feeler...

Re: Mil/Mil scopes suggestions
Well, I just ordered the Falcon menace 4-14-44 ffp from SWFA.com. I'll give an update when I get it. I now need to shop for a 20 Moa base.
Re: Mil/Mil scopes suggestions
I just did some research on the Falcon 4-14x44 and saw this review
http://www.snipershide.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1123864&page=1. Would you suggest a 20 moa base or more to reach 1000 yds. it says it only has 26 mrad elevation adjustment.
Re: Mil/Mil scopes suggestions
I guess I should have been more specific, I'm sorry. I was looking at SFP scopes only with the ranging set at 10x.I know that FFP in that price range would not be possible or junk.
Re: Mil/Mil scopes suggestions
I didn't want to go more than a 16x for that reason. Yes I meant .1 adjustment don't know why I wrote 1/4.....duh.
Also I want to stay with Variable power not fixed.
Thanx
Hey guys,
I thought I had settled on a scope. I was going to go with the Hawke Sidewinder Tac 4.5-16x42 10x mil. But I just found out that it uses 1/4 moa adjustments. I prefer 1/4 mil adjustments so now I need to research all over again. I only have a limit of $400. Can you guys suggest some...
