    Does anyone have a strong preference between the Wilcox RAPTAR lite ES and the DBAL D2? I have zero experience with either and have my first PVS 14 on the way. Any other one I should consider in that price range?

    If you are at that price point, you should consider Crye Precision's field shell. I have one and love it. Keeps you warm, but has great ventilation zippers as well.

    Sorry, should have specified. It's a .308. I'd probably stretch out to 1000yds since I shoot my other bolt to that distance anyway.

    Re: Best value under $2500 AR I'm sure most people will tell you to go with DI as opposed to piston, but I have a couple of LWRCs and love them. They shoot lights out. Ceteris paribus, maybe a JP is more accurate, but at that level, I think it comes down to the shooter.
