    March tracking error

You're not being a smart assistant at all. In fact I'm sure you're correct. But this was a few years back and being of a certain age, my memory is not infallible. If I could find the video again, I would post it here. The error that he was seeing was more than expected and he did say that...

    March tracking error

The March-FX 5-42X56 was first introduced in 2019. Its new feature was the 26° AOV. It also has quite a bit of elevation built-it. The Gen 2 was introduced last year and there are two main differences. The turrets of the GEn 1 were replaced by the Shuriken turrets and the optical formula...

    March tracking error

The Majesta is a March-X8-80X56 HM. The other riflescope you mentioned is the March-X 10-60X56 HM. Up until the Majesta was released, the 10-60X56 or the High Master, as a lot of people call it, was the best F-Class scope available. The Super ED lenses it uses have a delaying effect on the...

    March tracking error

I must have missed this thread the first time out. I saw a video of a guy who did a tracking test on a March scope, I think it was a 3-24X52 but it was a few years back and my memory is fuzzy. However, I do remember that he discovered a 2% deviation with the scope. It seems he was getting .2...

Rifle Scopes ZCO 5-27 vs March 5-42

The March-FX 5-42X56 HM introduced in 2019 sports a 46mm eyepiece and that was instrumental in providing the 26° AOV. Shortly after, the March-FX 4.5-28X52 HM was released with the 46mm eyepiece also with a 25° AOV. In 2022, the March-X 8-80X56 HM Majesta was introduced with its 46mm eyepiece...

Rifle Scopes March FX High Master 4.5-28 with FML-TR1 reticle.

I'm not very familiar with the TR-1, but if I read the specs right, it says .075mil at the crosshairs, the illuminated portion, and then down to .03 mil from the beginning of the segment outside the crosshair and up to 2 mil. After that it's .06mil, as you say. I missread 0.075mil as .07mil...

Rifle Scopes March FX High Master 4.5-28 with FML-TR1 reticle.

The TR-1 is .07mil according to the specs at the website.

Rifle Scopes March FX High Master 4.5-28 with FML-TR1 reticle.

You're confusing the FML-PDKI with the PDK and the LDK. I'm of the two designers of the PDK and the LDK. The lines are .03mil thick. The PDKI came later and as it's name states, it's the illuminated version of the PDK. Its lines are .07mil thick.

Rifle Scopes March FX High Master 4.5-28 with FML-TR1 reticle.

This is why I recommended you consider the FML-PDK or the FML-LDK for the 4.5-28X52 HM; These were designed with finer lines for the reticle. They are not illuminated in order to keep them fine at the higher margnifications. For the 5-42 model, the March-FX 5-42X56 HM Gen 2 offer the fabulous...

Rifle Scopes March FX High Master 4.5-28 with FML-TR1 reticle.

The March-FX 4.5-28X52 HM has a 25° AOV, is 12 inches long and weighs 30 oz. If you're into PRS, you might want to consider the FML-PDK reticle, which was designed specifically for PRS. The finer lines of that reticle and the larger FOV compared to the heavy 40 oz, and long 16in ATACR. I...

I've known Don for several years. He is everything you say. Enjoy the Majesta with the MTR-WFD reticle; it's an awesome combo for F-class.

Rifle Scopes Steiner T6Xi 3-18x56 Review and comparison with NF ATACR 4-16x42, S&B US 3-20x50 and March 4.5-28x52

@M.H. I noted that you mentioned wanting a scope that will serve two purposes: I might have mentioned that I am an F-Class shooter, so I have a little bit of experience with optics for that discipline. Let's just say that these are very different purposes and there is no one riflescope that...

Rifle Scopes LPVO Comparison: March Shorty 1-10x vs Kahles K18i-2 1-8x

It is my understanding that there is no difference in the optics between the 34mm model and the 30/33 model. I have looked through both side by side and could not tell a difference. Now, if the Shuriken turrets and the more universal mount of the 34mm model are critical to you, that's up to...

    2025 SHOT Show Optics

I don't understand what's causing you to take more time to set the diopter with the fast focus eyepieces compared to others. You can tell right away where the prior user left the diopter setting and you can move it in one second. If it's your scope, you can then lock it in place by tightening...

    2025 SHOT Show Optics

Yeah, about those diopter settings. At the show we loosen the lock on the fast focus diopter adjustment so people can easily set them to their eye. There are a lot of people with strange eyes out there. I kept resetting the diopters to 0 on the various scopes, but the 1-10 DFP and the...

    Long Range Gas Gun Optics

Youse guys are killing me. Yeah, I figured that @ggmanning was talking about the 1.5-15X42, but I always keep in mind that this is a public forum and so not everyone would know that. It's also one of the reasons why I always try to refer to a particular riflescope by...

March-FX 5-42X56 HM Gen 2 with writable turrets at SHOT Show 2025 along with new concepts scopes

That last part is not an issue. The 5-42X56 Gen2 has an amazing IQ. Second to none,
