    Savage Pre-AccuTrigger Scope Base Recommendations

I found that Farrell makes rails for the old Savages. They are a little over my budget, but... ehhh what the hell. Found a third Savage to equip as well that I forgot about.

    Savage Pre-AccuTrigger Scope Base Recommendations

EGW looks solid, but i don't like the fact that it's made from 6061 aluminum vs. 7075 aluminum.

    Savage Pre-AccuTrigger Scope Base Recommendations

I'm looking for input on some decent bases for two of my Savage rifles that are both pre-accu trigger with the flat top receivers. I would like 20 MOA and my budget is $100 per base.

Gunsmithing Iwata LPH 80 and Cerakote

I went from using the cheap POS gun the goes in the sample kit to a SATA Minijet 2 with 1.0 fluid tip. I bought Iwata LPH80 and love it. Best purchase I've made thus far. However, I believe I need a new fluid tip or needle for it. I just ordered up a SATA Minijet 3 with 8.0 tip. I really enjoyed...

    Chest rig or war belt?

For a light weight set up I really like the Apollo from Red Tac Gear. It's more like a belt with suspenders than a vest and I put my hydro on my back.

Great rugged camera for the field

I use an Olympus Stylus. The old (few years now) outdoor version. I love it. I won't buy anything but Olympus cameras. My all time favorite for everything is my old Olympus OM-2n. My Olympus OM-10 is what I carry a lot as well. I don't worry about dropping it so much as I can find complete kits...

DIY Grippy coatings for AICS/AX LA?

Skate board tape is a little rough for me. Truck bed liner material works great. At my shop we were experimenting with a product called Soft Touch Clear we get from our local auto paint store, but it is a little slick when it's wet.

    Eberlestock Gunslinger Pack

Worth the money for sure. Incredibly tough and comfortable. The loads seem to balance well and comfortable all day long.

Transporting rifle / gear on a motorcycle

Eberlestock Gunslinger II. Or if you have a pack that is MOLLE compatible, pick up an Eberlestock Scabbard of the appropriate size.

    Bipod Choice

I've always used Harris Bipods. However, I am switching to Atlas after playing with one for a day.

    Red Tac Rear Bag.

RedTac. I have all of them, I use all of them, I loan out all of them. Stu is the man, he's made a few custom items for me... but he still won't make me my damn tactical dog vest for my border collie.

What Thickness of AR500 for My Range

Well, I guess there is that as well... buy once cry once.

Rifle Scopes $3500 for a new scope, which one.

I really want to find out more about the Beast. I am selling off a bunch of gear to get "the one scope to rule them all". I'm half tempted to drive to Orofino myself and pound on their door.

What Thickness of AR500 for My Range

Hell yeah. We'll do some product demo's out there and the sort. It's going to be out near Porcupine Bay on Lake Roosevelt.

What Thickness of AR500 for My Range

Thanks for all the input. I'm stoked to have my own range, even if it is only going to be 600 yards. I hope we can stretch it out to 1200 onto some state land.

What Thickness of AR500 for My Range

Currently the max that would be run on the range is a .338 Edge.

What Thickness of AR500 for My Range

I'm working on building my shooting range. At this time I only have about 600 yards to play with. My question is, what thickness of plates? Can I get away with running with 1/4" for light calibers or should I just bite down on the 1/2"? Also, What is the max capabilities of each? I don't know...

Also Coming Out of the Shadows.

I've prowled around on here a lot and have been a member for some time, just thought I would introduce myself. I enjoy long range shooting and am just here to learn more... and shoot more. Thanks for all the knowledge. Sean
