    Re: pre 64 winchester stock Yes it is a model 70. The stock is completely messed up on it and cracked in a few places. As for the barrel, it needs a new one cause this one has been shot out on it. The rifle was not taken care of very well, this is why I am putting a new barrel and stock on it.

    I do not know if this is the right place to post this, but what does anyone suggest as a good stcok for a pre 64 winchester. This gun is mainly going to be used for target shooting and the occasion deer hunt with it. I am having a varmit barrel made for the gun.
