Rifle Scopes New Weaver tactical 3-15x50

I've never heard they don't RTZ properly... On some ARFCOM scientist claimed they don't mount up as well as the Larues... but that means nothing to me. I got it for 150 shipped so I won't complain. Mike

Rifle Scopes New Weaver tactical 3-15x50

Well SWFA did a price match for me, not perfect, but with the rebate It's a good deal. I also ordered an ADM recon mount with the 20MOA built in. Hopefully it shows up soon! Mike

Rifle Scopes New Weaver tactical 3-15x50

I've heard only good things, so hopefully I get it figured out sooner rather than later. What are you guys using for mounts? I was thinking of going with an ADM recon mount with 20 MOA built in. Mike

Rifle Scopes New Weaver tactical 3-15x50

Anyone know who has a good deal going on these sights? I contacted SWFA a couple months ago for a quote but decided to hold off for the bolt carrier group to show up for the AR10. I contacted them again the other day as the BCG arrived and they had agreed to match my price, but it seems when it...

Gunsmithing Starting first quasi-Precision build, AR10

Finally got it put together for the most part guys... Although funds are lacking at the moment as I just ordered a Tavor. It will probably be glass-less until at least the end of the summer. It doesn't help that .308 is nearly impossible to find at a reasonable price, let alone reloading...

Rifle Scopes New Weaver tactical 3-15x50

Re: New Weaver tactical 3-15x50 The 4-20 is also an attractive option, though it seems to lack the illumination. Eventually I am sure it will come out, thats the funny thing with technology. What is the reccomended mount for these for ar platform rifles. I am thinking somewhere along the...

Gunsmithing Starting first quasi-Precision build, AR10

Re: Starting first quasi-Precision build, AR10 Living in Massachusetts there are NO ranges that are within a reasonable distance more than 600 yards, and anything over 300 will be a day trip, so 16 should be fine/more useful size wise for my purposes. Mike

Rifle Scopes New Weaver tactical 3-15x50

Re: New Weaver tactical 3-15x50 So is this still considered one of the top contenders in it's price range? My research has pointed me this direction for my AR10 build. Thanks, Mike

Gunsmithing Starting first quasi-Precision build, AR10

Re: Starting first quasi-Precision build, AR10 Hey just thought I'd throw out an update. I am pretty much waiting for Armalite to get and ship me a BCG at this point. I also am yet to order the rail system, though I am pretty sure I will be going with the 12 inch Daniel Defense lite rail...

Gunsmithing Starting first quasi-Precision build, AR10

Re: Starting first quasi-Precision build, AR10 I've already got the Armalite Upper and Lower. I thought about going with Mega but I was able to track down the "A" model stripped upper and stripped lower, so I went the Armalite route. Awaiting everything haha. I think I am sold on the...

Gunsmithing Starting first quasi-Precision build, AR10

Re: Starting first quasi-Precision build, AR10 I'm not too worried about the difficulty of putting it together, been there done that with plenty of AR-15s. I just want to make sure the parts I am getting are realistic for my goals. I want an AR-10 platform as a replacement for a mid-range...

Re: Starting first quasi-Precision build, AR10 So nobody has any input RE AR10 barrels? Mike

Gunsmithing Starting first quasi-Precision build, AR10

This is my first post here and the title says it all. I've recently acquired an AR10A Upper and Lower, and am on the indefinite wait list for the bolt carrier group. I plan to do most of this project after the holidays, but I want some input from guys who presumably know about guns and precision...
