Field Firing Solution (FFS) new Android release?

You should contact Patagonia about the latest details, but yes, it's up and running.

Field Firing Solution (FFS) new Android release?

Very useful tips thanks! Regarding the G1 value, which one to use with Hornady? I mean they publish 3 values for different velocities. I guess a ShotMarket will be ordered soon. Basically you have debunked what they say about the never ending BC vs Drag BS given your results at 2300 (y)

Field Firing Solution (FFS) new Android release?

Nice, question is which one is harder to tune, for instance, when using Hornady bullets? What BC values should be use when running FFS?

Field Firing Solution (FFS) new Android release?

UI elements like mapping, reticles, graphs, etc are basically dictated by the market. Not necessarily useful or needed by most people, but sought after by some guys because it looks neat and "powerful" Of all of these, the only ome I'd ever care about is mapping. Would be very interesting if...

Field Firing Solution (FFS) new Android release?

Your right regarding Kestrel. It's an unfathomable mystery why nobody enters this market with a XXI century design. IMHO they are, somehow, begging for a new player to take over their place. Won't be hard to tackle, just a matter of time. For instance, CB for Android is way different in terms of...

Field Firing Solution (FFS) new Android release?

I think that being targeted to run on Android devices, the UI should be revamped a lot to fit the modern designs and at the same time taking advantage of the current UI paradigms. Honestly, refactoring the old FFS won't cut the deal. Still looks like an obsolete DOS :rolleyes:

Can't argue with your personal experience...but it's far from being true and actually sounds quite weird. Links have been changed. On the other hand, just drop them an email (check the page contact form or try [email protected]) and that's it. I've been running Patagonia for many...

Precision Rifle Gear Garmin Xero C1 - It really is that good (Take 2!)

Here is an online tool to convert FIT files to Excel https://www.fromfittoxlsx.com/ Just out of curiosity, what would be the real reason (if any) to measure MV while shooting a PRS match?

Aerodynamic Jump ?? Effect just at the muzzle or down range as well?

AJ is neither a perturbation happening in a definite point or a perturbation ocurring over an extended space-domain, being actually a Regional transformation. This can be proved in terms of Yaw and Lift, and mathematically by the EOMs, meaning AJ is the outcome of the change in transverse CG...

Aerodynamic Jump ?? Effect just at the muzzle or down range as well?

You need to take a step back and check the equations (the real ones...not simplifications) of both vertical perturbations...and you will come to terms and understand why this is a WRONG answer in regards to wind-induced AJ, which is a transient effect. I would have preferred not to say anything...

Aerodynamic Jump ?? Effect just at the muzzle or down range as well?

To avoid a bloody mess with a long rant, I say, NO, any vertical downrange perturbation cannot be the result of wind-induced AJ, despite the fact the Lift force is always present. Now regarding downrang AJ...steady coning motion causes little or no further net angular deflection of the...

Aerodynamic Jump ?? Effect just at the muzzle or down range as well?

I guess it's critical to realize that not all perturbartions, even looking alike, are caused by the same base effect/reason, and some are transients and some are not. In a simplified way, Wind drift is a consequence of DRAG force, while AJ is caused by LIFT force. This Lift-effect moves the CG...

Aerodynamic Jump ?? Effect just at the muzzle or down range as well?

In angular terms, the AJ is constant. Obviously not in linear terms. NO wind at the muzzle...no AJ. Again no, later on the bullet will not be affected by AJ. I'm assuming you are referring to wind-induced AJ and not by Lateral Throwoff.
