Wisdom in this post, especially if building a setup with multiple applications. YMMV, happy shooting

Need advice - 6 ARC bolt action load data for 103-108 gr bullets

I'm finding that Varget slightly compressed groups better than Staball Match. Varget loads pierced primers above 2800 fps and Staball Match got up to 2860s with moderate primer cratering but no pierced primer. Purchased an arbor press with an LE Wilson die for final seating depth testing...

Pace Master Timer Apple Watch app

The new version works as it should, no more sleep/timer pause. User Interface is simple and intuitive. Recommend KISS principle as the basic app with shot timer, dope card that advances with shots, as the advanced (pay) version. I’ll try it in a match setting and let you know how it works.

Pace Master Timer Apple Watch app

The app updated to 1.04 and now it goes to sleep when counting down and the timer pauses. Is it a firmware compatibility issue or something else? 1.03 was working fine.

Pace Master Timer Apple Watch app

Great app! Easy to set up and use. The other apps fail when my Apple Watch 10 goes to sleep/power save mode, but this app keeps on working. The only feature I’d recommend adding is a split timer for shots. It would help to know how quickly I can get set up for the first shot and the splits...

    CZ 457

What is the maximum barrel diameter for the KRG Bravo Gen 1 for the CZ 457? The Bravo Gen 2 accepts "accepts barrel contours up to 1″ in diameter." Thanks in advance.

Need advice - 6 ARC bolt action load data for 103-108 gr bullets

Disclamer: Load up slowly and at your own risk. Staball Match @ 30.2gr. Mild compression.

Calling all poors, what is the most poorish shooting sports thing you've ever done?

Back on track... a thing that took me forever to learn in this PRS game is that the game is about balancing the rifle at a single point. Mass and balance point of the rifle 2-3" in front of the magwell helps tremendously for positional stages. Well being a poor, I could not afford the fancy...

Calling all poors, what is the most poorish shooting sports thing you've ever done?

Ever fix a jam during rimfire positional practice and it looks like a bent nail? But you say what the hell, it's practice/plinking anyways. So you unbend it and jam it back in the magazine to save that 2 cents/round from the Winchester 555 bulk pack you bought in 2006 and proceed to shoot...

Calling all poors, what is the most poorish shooting sports thing you've ever done?

No shame in cooking up a batch of Mexican Match loads. Good on you! Speaking of reloading, walnut media cost too much, so went to lizard terrarium bedding for walnut media, then found the cheap effectiveness of long grain rice. One of the few poor techniques that works better than what it...

Calling all poors, what is the most poorish shooting sports thing you've ever done?

Look you don't have to rub our poor faces in your pithy attempt at alms. You have pipe insulation on an AI, go be "rich" somewhere else. ;)

Calling all poors, what is the most poorish shooting sports thing you've ever done?

FFS I said poor behavior not unsanitary ones. Reusing discarded/ used ear plugs or cigarette butts are at another level.

First precision 22 - go big or go home?

Even a few years ago, the 700 SA footprint 22lr actions had the advantages of more trigger and chassis/stocks choices. Now, that gap has significantly closed. My recommendation would be to first determine your goal for the build and how it will be used. If you want a trainer for your...

    6mm ARC (Bolt Action)

Same one from the original. Just got an email back from Hornady. Apparently the 105gr Aeromatch uses a different seating stem than the 105gr Match BTPH. Note: I could not find #397113 anywhere, even in Hornady's website, ordered the #397139 designed for the 6mm 110gr A-Tip. I hope that this...

    6mm ARC (Bolt Action)

Please help a relatively new reloader. What's causing bullet deformation in the 6mm Hornady 105gr Aeromatch bullets? A circular deformation about 3/16" from the tip on 5 rounds I loaded, definitely a dent, not a scuff. Non compressed loads, seated easily/smoothly. I use the Hornady 6 Arc full...

    6mm ARC Bolt Gun Loadings

I run a Savage SA with the bolt head swap. Reason explained in this post : https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/calling-all-poors-what-is-the-most-poorish-shooting-sports-thing-youve-ever-done.7228192/ Another thing about the 6 ARC 26” MTU barrel, I can fire 10-12 shots in a row and...

    6mm ARC Bolt Gun Loadings

Already ordered some Alpha 6 ARC brass. Pricy but I found it to be long lasting. Although slightly less capacity than Hornady brass, it seems to need less charge to reach the same velocity. Mainly wanted to test Staball Match to see if I could reach my speed goal of 2835fps. I’ll bump down to...
