    20" 5R .308 175gr Berger VLD match/hunting 44gr Varget Federal Match brass CCI primers OAL at 2.850 for mag feed or 2.895 for single loading old pic of the first day I shot this load at 200yds. Groups range from 3/4"-1" (around 1/2 moa) and are consistently in that range to this very day

    You'll get a good workout carrying a 5R around. Why not pick up a $400 lightweight scoped hunting rifle instead of trying to make a heavy gun into a dual purpose rig?

    I believe the squared bolt cutout with the black insert is for Rem700 style flat bolts whereas the rounded notch is for AIAE pattern bolts

    Really impressed with the knowledge base and well thought out answers. It's starting to make less and less sense to own one. Having $5k+ tied up in a rifle that's mostly novelty just doesn't work with my budget. So who wants to let me borrow theirs? :D

    You prefer MOA over MIL? Ummm....why? And the Weaver Tactical 3-15x50 is a great range scope. Very clear glass and good features for a sub $800 scope.

    Range Report barrel problems?

    What caliber and app round count? Are you the original owner? If you've put the last 500+ through that barrel then you should pretty quickly realize if its you or the rifle.
