    I would DEFINATELY suggest a 338. You may want to step up to 338 in the future. In the meantime it will absorb the volume and pressure of any lesser cartridges.

    5" isn't enough to burn all the propellent. Even SMGs at 8-9"s don't burn it all. At 12" all would be burned, but this is unreasonable length for most operators.
