    AR-10 vs. LR308 gas tube protrusion question

    Gas tubes are cheap, I'd use the correct length unit. Looks like you need the standard AR-15 Rifle length tube.

    Random Double Tap on AR10 with Suppressor

    Which tigger? If it’s that light you need to start pinning it to the rear when firing. My MWS and a SR-25 have G High Speed and it’s set up really light. I just make sure and pin it to the rear when I shoot and warn anyone else who fires it to do the same.

    Barrel length vs Muzzle Blast - Creedmoor

    I have several 16” 308 gas guns and finished a 16” 6.5 Creedmoor this year. The Creedmoor is running an EC tuner brake and I can’t say the blast at any worse behind the gun than my 16” 308’s or my 24” 6.5 MWS with a Fat bastard brake.

    Which receiver extension (buffer tube) did you use? Is it a Standard AR-15 length or longer AR-10/SR-25/A5 length extension. Which buffer are you using the shorter AR308 buffer of the longer AR-15. Could be an issue of an AR-10 length spring in an AR-15 extension and yiu are getting coil bind...

    14.5/16” 6.5 creedmoor rifle?

    I have a 16” TBox 6.5 Creedmoor barrel on order to be built I to an upper for my LMT MWS and SR-25 lowers. Was a tough decision between a 14.5”and a 16”. Decided to avoid the NFA hassle and get a few more FPS out of it. Can’t wait for it to arrive so I can start putting it though it’s paces.

    muzzle brake legality in IL

    No state law regarding muzzle brakes. It might be up to the individual county/city. Ship the brake and let the buyer deal with it. He may have a zip code in crook county but there are people who live there and keep guns over the border in a free county and or state.
