    I’ve noticed in some loads/rifles it makes a small difference, and other loads/rifles it is significant. Testing is the only answer. I also have seen lot to lot variations of primers can make a difference. It’s frickin maddening.

    Yes, that is the original equipment. The skins you see on the rifle are called viper skins and are a popular aftermarket bolt on. The original skins are in perfect condition and look like they were never used. I just had the 18” .308 barrel reinstalled by Mile High.
