    rem 788 synthetic stock

    I've got a 788 in 308 and its my fav hunting stick but I'd like to put a synthetic stock on it and so far all I've found is a black ramline. does anybody know of anyone else makeing one for it as the ramline is pretty junky.

    Howdy all, I'm picking up an as new model 788 in .223 tomorrow evening. Any one out there have any experience loading for this model in this caliber? I imagine it will have a 1 in 12 to 1 in 14 twist barrel, so the 40-55 grain bullets will be the name of the game here. Any pet loads to try...

    What about a rem 788??

    I found a good deal on a rem 788 chambered in 222. I dont know squat about these rifles. The rifle in question is extremly clean and priced really fair. Whats the scoop on these old rifles are they worth messing with? I most likly will want to re-barrel it after i shoot the factory barrel out. Lee
