    Gunsmithing cutting through the barrel flutes ?

    Let's say you have a 24" fluted barrel and you want to get it to 20" and install a muzzle brake, it will cut through the flutes, does it matter ? thanks

    Gunsmithing painting flutes

    I can not figure a good way to paint them. I have seen barrel and fluting different colors. I cant believe taping each off is the way. Please advise. Thanks, Mike
