I have got the components, I have done a significant about of reading and now I need some handholding and definitive advice (I know a true oxymoron). When you are loading .308 ammo how many try to duplicate Gold Medal Match, M118LR, etc. That is to say 2.800 on the nut for length and 45 (plus...

105 grain 6MM Nosler Custom Competition?

Has anybody tried the new 6MM Nosler CC bullet? http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=495190 How does it shoot? Does it stabilize in a 1x9? They are advertising it as having a BC of .593. That has to be BS. What BC did it actually exhibit for you...

    10 grain difference

I got a small pile of 7mmRM brass, I sorted it by weight since it came from different boxes. The difference between the light and heavy is 10 grains. Is this going to make enough difference to cause pressure problems between the extremes? The gun it is for is a hunting rifle only. I can only...

204 Ruger loads with 26 grain Barnes

I have a box of the 26 grain HP's by Barnes. Hodgdon lists data for 32, 35, 40 and 50 grain bullets, but not the 26's. I back calculated a load range for BLC-2 and H335 for a linear regression to 26 grains, added a little to the min, and worked up to a little past the max (1 grain) for what I...

    Stupid question..where's all the 180 grain .308's?

I got 5 boxes about 2 months ago and now it seems like it no longer exists! Everywhere is sold out--all they have is 150's and 168's... even the 3006 180 grain ammunition is nowhere to be found... Where did it all go? Does anyone use the heavier ammo for their .308/3006 here? If so, where do you...

Bullet Identification 223 JHP BT 69 grain Cannalur

Prior to hand loading .223 I purchased some Match 69 Grain from Georgia Arms Reloaders. This bullet appears to shoot extremely well in all of my AR 223 from the 16 to 20" and the 1:8 and 1:9 twist. I can not identify who makes a 69 grain JHP with a cannalur? They use 748 powder and what...

    1200 grain 50 bullet

Years ago my friend had the Idea for a long range rig and decided he needed something with a really high BC. 300 grain Scenar BC

Hope I'm not late in putting this out there but early BC was stated as being .810. Lapua website states BC at 2700 fps and less is .760 based on Doppler Radar. Pretty significant difference. Unless I'm missing something or just a little ignorant on the physics is the .760 BC the one to use for...
