    Gunsmithing painting a laminate stock

    i have a SSS stock on my 22 savage and what is the best way to paint and seal and finish this stock so it will not wear? it will see alot of ranch/field use so i would like a sturdy coating and method of applying it the stock is currently red/black unfinished laminate

    I posted this in the rimfire section but figured I'd also post here as well. Anybody know if I can paint a laminate stock such as those found on the Savage Mark II BV? How much trouble would it be and what would I need? Would the wonderfull Krylon work? thanks
