    I finally bought the Hornady device for measuring ogive length. I think I need a little education. If I understand correctly, the ogive length is the distance from the bolt face to the point that the bullet touches the lands. If so, should the ogive length be the same regardless of the bullet...

    7mm 180jlk-need ogive to tip measurement

    Could someone with some of the 7mm 180 jlk's (swampworks) measure a few of them from the ogive to the tip and reply. I'm about to order some of their 6.5 and 7 bullets, but need to know how much longer (ogive to tip) the 7mm 180 is vs. the 180 berger. I may not be able to magazine the jlk's. Thanks
