The Cobb MCR was designed by Skip Patel of Cobb Manufacturing to be submitted to the United States Military as a Multi Caliber rifle system. There were combinations from 9mm up to the 338 Lapua. With very few rifles produced this system was purchased by Bushmaster and the concept was filed away as not to compete with their new weapon. Skip was hired as a consultant with this agreement and spent 3 years with Bushmaster. Once this commitment was honored, he went on to start DRD Tactical and has come up with many very innovative designs.
I’ve decided to part with my accumulation of MCR items. First is a MCR-200 in 7.62 with a fixed AR stock, DPMS style magazine adapter and a 24” Lothar-Walter match grade barrel. This is a complete rifle that I don’t believe has ever had a round down the barrel. The second is a new stripped lower with the magazine adapter that accepts the Heckler and Koch G3/91 style 7.62 mags. This is attached to a complete upper with a 20” Lothat-Walter match grade barrel. The previous owner had attached his flash hider/Suppressor adapter to this barrel and had put a few rounds through it with the Suppressor on. It now has a standard flash hider attached. This rifle needs a lower parts kit, a buffer-buffer tube assembly and your choice of stock.
These rifles use a proprietary bolt carrier assembly and they both have all needed parts. The parts needed to complete the 2nd rifle are standard AR 10/15 items.
I’d like to get $2200.00 for the whole package plus actual shipping to your FFL. The rifle will ship from an FFL in Southwestern Colorado. I’d like to sell the complete package but would entertain splitting it up. Let me know if you’re interested. I can provide more pictures if needed.
