1 Mile shot on 1 MOA Target

Finally got to shoot the mile last Saturday.
There are not many places in the UK to do it.
I was at "Bunky's" in Cornwall, England.
Used a 300 Norma in a AI AXMC, Berger 215 Hybrids. doing 3120 fps.
Fired 3 rounds at 800, 1200, 1500 to check dope.
Then at mile got on with the 3rd shot at target, a 18" round target. 1MOA
The next time out is half MOA!

If it was 18" round....you are Sub MOA... Round should be about 18.43" for a 1 MOA target...so you can say you shot Sub MOA at 1 mile

That's awesome! My buddy Rick @arby73 broke out his 300NM with Berger 230s we heard every hit like Paul Bunyan hammering a garage door with a sledgehammer from the 300 that was really impressive. Have you shot 230s? That velo is crazy I want to say he was maybe 2950? Rick I know you said you were done on load dev, but dang 3100ish?

OP what was your dope for 1mile? Congrats on those hits that is great shooting wow.

The factory Berger 230gr 300NM ammo in my AXMC is 2950. The newer batch of AI North America barrels is now 1:8 (previous were 1:10). I have heard, but can't confirm, the 230s don't shoot well in the 1:10 barrels. I haven't tried the 215s.

My Elevation yesterday at 1635 yards, DA-2210', was 14.4mil. This includes a +0.75" (0.2mil) Zero Offset in the calculation, so figure it would be 14.6 if this barrel was zeroed 0.0 at 100 instead of -0.2mil.

Keep practicing - 0.3 MOA three shot group at 1 mile is possible even with 6.5
