1 on 1 coaching in VA

I have a proposition for anyone who actively competes in long range precision matches, was or currently serves as a sniper/designated marksman or if you have an applicable background PM me and we'll talk..

I have a Military/LEO background, I love shooting but have never gotten into long range precision shooting until now. I recently purchased a Remington 700 5R milspec and a Leupold Mark IV LR/T 4.5-14X50. I would like to meet with someone who can show me how to get the most our of my rifle and scope.
I'd like to learn about range estimation, use of mil-dots, using a data book and just general basic long range shooting practices.

I have tried to read up on these subjects but I learn by doing.. Time would be compensated, lets spend a day at the range!

Get a Copy of the "Shooter Ready" program from the net. It is a great aid to learn milling and a lot of fun as well. My kids play with it all the time.

Ed Shell is up your way,and is now running Central Virginia Tacticle for Vern Harris. He can do 1 on 1 for ya and is a great guy to boot.

I have not been to this training, but I have been talking to them trying to set up some training in Dec, Jan, Feb time frame when I get home.

WOW thank you for all the support!

I would LOVE to take a course at central virginia tactical but I don't know if I will be able to afford it.. I just dropped some serious money on my gun/scope/ammo etc.. and the reason why I'm going cross country is because I'm moving cross country.. Maybe I'll have to part ways with one of my otherguns to get some funds together.. lol.
