So I just found out there is a hogue stock that looks like an HS precision stock for the 10/22 and I have to get it. I don't like the way it looks with a 16" barrel so...

I was wondering if it's possible to get a 20" or longer barrel. Do any companies make longer aftermarket barrels?

Re: 10/22 aftermarket barrels

Green mountain usually has a good product. They have made some clinkers also...just like most companies, unlike most companies, they will stand behind their product. They make up to a 28" barrel....what are you gonna do with the rifle? targets? hunting? Personally, I would'nt have a Hogue stock...but some love theirs.

I've got an ER shaw thats threaded 16" I will sell for 85 shipped.

It goups .85" CTC at 75meters with SK+

That being said I think a kidd barrel is better in the long run, if you intend to run match ammo. The chambers are tight on kidd and wont run cheap brick stuff.

I'll agree and disagree. I have a Kidded out 10/22. Barrel, bolt, trigger, etc. Although I did a bit of a unique bedding job on the stock allowing me to run the barrel completely free floated with no movement of the action in the stock, it's still sort of a thrown together rifle.

This 10/22 holds the record for the highest score shot at our local rimfire match shot by a 10/22 with a score of 7200 out of 7500. The match consists of shooting three ARA cards. I can't speak highly enough about the Kidd barrel considering it's cost of around $200.

I've shot everything from Federal bulk to CCI Blazer through this barrel and it eats everything, although I do stick with the Ruger rotary mags.

Do you have a stock extractor or a convex extractor? I use a factory extractor but will probably switch given my issues.
