Today is the fishing opener here in MN....but its windy and cold and actually sleeted and snowed this morning. Not my idea of fun fishing weather. So......we loaded up the rimfires and hit the gravel pit......

Rifle is a 10/22 in a B&C stock with a butler creek barrel and a kid trigger. The stock feels almost identical to the m40 B&C stock my all around 308 sits in so this 10/22 is the "trainer" for that rifle.......Ammo was simple remington SubSonic. Range was 210 yards..... About 40 degrees for a temp and very switchy and gusty winds---we tried to angle ourselves into the wind but they were all over the place. I asked the guys to let me shoot one group on the freshly painted target before we started really banging on it........ here it is: The case is a 308 case for reference. It was a 5 shot group.......I messed up the cold bore shot.....I was off on the wind call and it impacted off the target.....quick adjust and then fired off the these four....I was pretty pleased......

The stock pack is one of triad's large pocket ones I believe. I like the kidd trigger. its a single stage and its the best I have ever used on a 10/22. I actually have it set at NOT its lightest weight because its simply too light for me at that point---I think its set at about 2.5 lbs. But its nice and clean and has worked well.

here's full on side view with a 10round group shot with wolf at 60 yards off the bench as you can see....I think the only difference is that I went from mediums to lows on the leupold rings between pictures....

I built the rifle years ago and was one of my "first".........has thousands of rounds through it and has existed in lots of different stocks. I have a 40xb sitting in a mcmillan A3 but honestly, the way this little 10/22 shoots, I have a hard time remembering why I poured the money into that 40x......lol

the way i would figure it........

if starting from stock, I would change trigger group first. Generally speaking you are going to have to change the stock and barrel at the same time. I would change trigger and then save up for the stock and barrel and then get your self a kidd bolt...
