10/22 Barrel Tenon Diameters?

I just tried dropping a Feddersen into my Volquartsen receiver and was surprised it dropped in w/ no finessing. I pulled it and through the calipers on the tenon - .6860". Am I expecting too much wanting a better fit, or is that par for the course?

0.6855 is what my factory barrel mic'd out at

so your barrel is within spec......honestly, once that is tightened down, im not really convinced the tightness of the tenon fit is really having much of an impact on accuracy.

I know the feddersen and green mountain barrels on my TM receivers needed a bit of encouragement.
